Wedding Weekend Packing List

If you found yourself scratching your head at vineyard chic, don’t worry you are not alone! We hope this blog post provides a bit of guidance on the best clothing options for the weekend and additional items you may need for your visit to Napa Valley!

  1. Welcome Party Options

As we mentioned in the FAQs, the dress for the occasion is Vineyard Chic. Basically think of wine tasting on a warm spring day, because we will be! That means spring skirts/sun dresses/maxi-dresses/jumpsuits! Florals or brighter colors are always perfect for Napa. Pair this look with a cute and comfy sandal, flat, or wedge! Alternatively, dress slacks, chinos, khaki’s, or linen pants will work nicely with a nice button down, cardigan, or blazer ! Just no denim or athleisure.

2. A Few Casual Outfits

As we hope you have gathered from our other posts over the past few months, there are so many things to do and see throughout St. Helena, Napa Valley, and the rest of Northern California. Having all these different activities to do and things to see can make it difficult not to overpack!

It always helps to plan ahead, know what activities you plan to do, and pack accordingly, but either way, be sure to pack a few casual outfits in case you want to venture into town, some athleisure if you plan to hike, or something comfy to stroll around the hotel in!

3. Be prepared for Wide Temperature ranges

I know we have said this before, but it warrants repeating. There will be extreme shifts in temperature throughout the day. We expect warm weather at the peak of the day (low to mid 70s), but much cooler temperatures at the beginning and end of the day (as low as 40s). Be sure to pack plenty of layers for your visit!

4. Outfit for the Big Day

Saturday is the main event, so dress to impress! We want to see you all in your beautiful dresses, handsome suits, and everything in between. The event is semi-formal, so come in the outfit that makes you feel like the best version of yourself! Please check out our FAQs if you have additional outfits on what is appropriate for the ceremony and reception.

5. Overall Packing List

Jill is a planner and loves to make lists, so here is an overall packing list that will hopefully help alleviate some of the stress of travel:
